I first met Laura about five years ago when we got matched up to be roommates when I was in college. We only lived together for a semester, but we’ve been friends ever since. She and Matt have been together for what feels like forever, and originally I was just going to attend their wedding on this date…however, with the whole “global pandemic” thing, the couple elected to have their wedding turned into an elopement for the time being. To keep the get-together small, the only people in attendance were me, a videographer, and the pastor (priest?). Even though this wasn’t what Laura and Matt had originally planned for April 24th, the day was absolutely gorgeous, and it was clear that both of them were just happy to be getting married. I feel really blessed to have been able to support them on this wonderful occasion. Take that COVID-19!
